Refund Terms

At Akemi Hair, we uphold strict quality control and hygiene standards to ensure everyone receives premium, untouched hair.

Due to the hygienic nature of hair extensions, closures, frontals, and wigs, all sales are final.

We do not offer refunds to the original payment method.


Custom & Made-to-Order Items (Final Sale)

All custom-made, custom-colored, and made-to-order units are strictly final sale.

Due to the bespoke nature of these items, they are not eligible for return, refund, exchange, or store credit under any circumstances.

By purchasing a custom or made-to-order item from Akemi Hair, you acknowledge and agree that:

  • Each piece is individually handcrafted and may vary in tone, placement, dimension, and overall finish.

  • Exact replication of inspiration photos or previous work is not guaranteed.

  • Color appearance may vary due to lighting, screen resolution, and device display settings.

Custom units that have been colored, altered, installed, cut, bleached, tinted, plucked, washed, styled, or otherwise modified are not eligible for return for any reason.

All custom sales are final.


Return Eligibility (Store Credit Only)

In rare cases, a return may be considered for store credit only if the following conditions are met:

  • The request is made within 7 calendar days of confirmed delivery

  • The item is unused, unopened, and unaltered

  • All original packaging, tags, seals, and bundle ties remain intact

  • The lace has not been cut, bleached, tinted, plucked, washed, brushed, installed, or handled

  • The product shows no signs of odor, wear, or manipulation

  • This is not applicable to custom made, custom colored, or any custom items

Returns must be approved in writing prior to being sent back. Return costs are at the customer's expense.


Inspection Requirement

All returns are subject to inspection upon receipt.

If the item does not meet the above requirements, the return will be denied and the item will be shipped back to the customer at their expense.

Store credit will only be issued after the product has been received and approved through inspection.


Shipping

Customers are responsible for return shipping costs unless otherwise agreed upon in writing.

We strongly recommend using a trackable shipping method, as Akemi Hair is not responsible for lost return shipments.


Fraud & Chargebacks

All fraudulent chargebacks will be formally disputed.

We maintain detailed records including:

  • Order confirmation

  • Billing and shipping verification

  • IP address logs

  • Delivery confirmation

  • Signature confirmation (when applicable)

  • Customer communication history
